About A.J. and His Family

I’ve recently moved into my new home here in the Northeast, after being placed with a great family found by my heros, Patriot Lab Rescue. Patriot Lab Rescue pulled me out of a *shudder* high kill shelter in Alabama, put me into a foster home with a nice woman named Anita until my new family found me on PLR’s website.

No one is totally sure if i’m a full lab or a mix. My owners had Golden Retrievers before rescuing me and think I’ve got some golden in my genes. I sure like water and sticks the way they do. If anyone has an opinion based on what they see, I’d love to hear it.

My owners and I will be writing here from time to time, mostly about my life growing up with my new family, but occasionally about other things that strike me as interesting. For instance, I’m already 10 months old and 72 lbs. I’ve just learned to swim and can already fetch sticks, and I’ve made some great friends at the dog park!

My peoples are Andrea, Joel and a she-pup named Ashley. You’ll hear from her a lot because we play, goof off and argue just like regular siblings.

  4. My name is Gracie. I am a Black Lab Mix. I was also rescued from a high kill shelter by Patriot Lab. I lived in Tenn. before being adopted by a nice family in Ma. I have a brother who was also adopted, but from another place. I am so happy to have a nice family with a nice yard who really love me. I was so scared for a long time but now my brother has taught me how to play and have fun life is GOOD.
So glad to hear you found a nice family also and a sister to play with. Enjoy your new life. Your fellow rescue dog, Gracie WOOF WOOF.

Great story. I’m also living with a family in MA! I love it up here and this was my first winter with real snow! I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time the world turned white, and I barked and barked until I got outside and played in it.

    Woof!
